The OptimaT timeline
2023
NEW CENTRAL WAREHOUSE
During 2021, the construction of the new central warehouse was launched. This was in use by October 2023. The warehouse is 18m high and provides storage for 6000 pallet spaces. Two Modular Storage Cabinets of 16m height were also installed.
2023
TODAY
At present, OptimaT has a surface area of 60,000 m², employs about 570 people and has a bright future ahead!
2020
ISO 13485:2016
OptimaT achieves strict ISO 13485:2016 standard for the assembly of medical devices.
2018
ISO 14001
OptimaT is proud to achieve ISO 14001:2015 for all departments in the company. We are the first company that employs people with a distance to the regular job market to reach this international standard.
2017
ADMB HRM AWARD
OptimaT wins the ADMB award, for its strong, innovative and sustainable HR policy! (ADMB is the current Liantis)
2014-2016
WOOD AND GARDENING DEPARTMENT
Start of the construction of the wood department and the gardening service building. The building was put into use in June 2016. To increase the surface area of the company, OptimaT also purchased the building of the previous furniture company “Jivé”.
2005
OPTIMAT
In 2005, with a total surface area of 22,000 m² and more than 300 employees, the company is now known as 'OptimaT'. The words 'adapted Employment, Optimal Satisfaction' underline our mission and vision.
2003-2004
NEW BUILDING FOR THE METAL DEPARTMENT, POWDER COATING DEPARTMENT AND THE WAREHOUSE.
In April 2003 the construction started. In 2004 the building was put into use.
2001
MOVE TO LICHTERVELDE
Due to the high need for centralisation, it was decided to move the company to Lichtervelde. The move took place step by step and was spread over several years.
1999
ISO 9001
The company managed to obtain the ISO 9001:2000 certificate.
1986-1998
TORHOUT
During these years the company grew by purchasing several studios and buildings in the village of Torhout, where it was located at the time.
1974
CREATION OF TORDALE
The first graduates of the BUSO-school could start working at Tordale. Only 6 workers and 2 supervisors were employed in a small rented workshop.
