PlatO, an efficient food display
Last year, OptimaT was pleased to guide Indra De Ruyck, Industrial Product Design student, in the design and production of her own product. PlatO is an efficient food display for presenting all kinds of buffets, from small caterings to large events.
From start to finish, Indra's product was produced at OptimaT: from design to packaging, from cutting to size, lasering and folding all the parts, to colouring through powder coating.
OptimaT was also considered in the design of PlatO. The straight planks combined with the rounding at the top represent our logo.
PlatO was designed with ease of use in mind for both caterer and guest. The dynamic whole ensures that the display can be refilled quickly on one side while the guest takes an appetizer on the other side. Fast service for the guest on the one hand and reduced workload for the serving staff on the other. Our flexible production processes at OptimaT allows the display to be customised both aesthetically and functionally.
We are proud to have been able to collaborate on this beautiful project. Congratulations to Indra on this very nice result! And thank you, Indra, for choosing OptimaT for your thesis project.
