Sundo and OptimaT are joining forces to develop and produce the SMOTspot, a smart sunscreen dispenser that combines technology and sustainability. Powered by solar energy, the dispenser offers free sunscreen in public places, making UV protection more accessible and reducing plastic waste.

With OptimaT, we take care of the entire manufacturing process of these SMOTspots:

• Metal housing
• Two-layer powder coating
• Electrical assembly and functional testing
• Storage, transport and logistical processing

We contribute to recovering and reusing materials, electronic components and packaging as much as possible. In this way, our sustainable cooperation with Sundo is a beautiful example of circular economy!

Since 2020, 750 SMOTspots have now been produced and 5.25 million free servings of sunscreen have been distributed in the Benelux. In 2025, the project will expand to Germany, Switzerland and France.
